Workplace and School Violence Prevention Training
I offer consulting and training services in various aspects of workplace and school violence. I offer comprehensive trainings and seminars geared towards identifying and recognizing the early signs and behavioral indicators as well as triggering events and contributing factors that may lead to workplace and school violence. Some examples of topics covered include understanding the threat of workplace and school violence, common threads of workplace and school violence, discussion of potential and typical perpetrators and victims of workplace and school violence, security awareness, and employees', students' and contractors' duty to prevent workplace violence and to be protective of their workplaces and fellow employees and students, as well as their responsibilities under the security program, what to do if threatened or harassed, dealing with conflict, confrontation and aggressive behavior - de-escalating and avoiding threatening situations, the responsibility to report, and the supervisor's and manager's specific duties under the program, including how to properly address reports of potential or actual workplace violence, planning for the potential triggering event (e.g. termination, discipline or lay-off), repercussions for retaliation, and the importance of managing the civil workplace. Trainings can be geared towards your comp any’s specific needs.
